Tucked into the earth, this modern tractor shed was designed to fit modestly into a private orchard dotted with aging barns and abandoned field equipment. The all-concrete structure supports a sod roof seeded with native grasses as well as the heavy seasonal snowfall. This building was a response to the owner's desire for a low maintenance, low impact utility shed that didn't detract from the natural land. Barn wood reclaimed from the site, board formed raw concrete and weathered metal make up the palette of durable materials informed by the history of the site.
